Cuvée [pronunciation: koo-vay]

In Champagne, cuvée refers to the first pressing of grapes, specifically the first 2,050 liters of juice from 4,000 kilograms of grapes, which is considered to be the finest juice. In general wine terminology, cuvée means a blend of different grape varieties.
