Coopérative de Manipulation (CM)

Coopérative de Manipulation (CM) [pronunciation: coo-pera-teeve de muh-nip-yuh-lay-shuhn]

The in-house label of a cooperative. These are hugely important in Champagne, not only producing their own wines but also selling base wine to houses, selling wine back to Récoltant-Coopérateurs to label as their own, and producing wine for retailers and distributors to label under their own brands.
