Millésime

Millésime [pronunciation: mee-lay-zeem]

A vintage (year) or a wine made from a single vintage (compare: Non-Vintage). A millésime Champagne must be declared as such at the time of harvest in order to print this designation on the label. Note that this word simply indicates that the wine comes from a single vintage, and strictly speaking, has nothing to do with its level of quality.
