Spumante [pronunciation: spoo-maan-tee]
Also known as Asti Spumante, this is an Italian white bubbly made in the Charmat (or tank) method. Unlike Prosecco, spumante can be made with any grape varietal and produced in any Italian region, though it is commonly made with muscat bianco grapes.
