Sabrage

Sabrage [pronunciation: sah-braj]

The flamboyant technique of opening a bottle of bubbly with a sword (aka saber). Traditionally, this practice was reserved for special occasions, but can be a fabulous trick if done properly. It is important to note that sabrage can be dangerous if not performed properly, so it should only be attempted by those who have been trained or are under the supervision of an expert.
